My So Called Family - Drunasty Kennel: 27 May 2007

The once a year event "Malaysia Dogs Olympic Day" was here again on 27/5. For once, my friend, yin managed to wake up early the morning at 5am to get all things ready and to reach her boyfriend's place at 6am to pick him, his brother and sister to go to the so called Olympic Day. She arrived my house at 6.30am sharp. Althought i told her the event will only starts at 8.30am but she insisted that she saw the notice saying the event starts at 7.30am. So off we went and we were the only group that arrived so early at 7.10am...when most people who were at the field were people from puppy.com who were there to set up the stalls.

Yin bought Phobe, while i bought suki and misty. It was so nice to have the young people to help to hold the leash for us. The children, one holding suki's leash while the other holding misty's leash, took them for a walk around the park....while yin and me took turn to hold the leash of Phobe. Gee...the three dogs are small breed dog, but they all acted as if they are big dogs, barking at all the dogs that are bigger than them

There were so many competitions going on. One that is dog and owner running, the alfand hound which belongs to a white couple won first, while the black dog second and the third jack russel. The children and didi bought the dogs for the run too...but we never see their face at the ending point. They came back saying the dogs dont run.

Ann asked us to enter for dress competition, but both of us are so lazy and rather prefer to watch dogs that came to the event. This year the event turned out to be big crowd and so many dogs were there. Ann will surely regret for not being able to be here.

There were so many shih tzu on that day and also mixed breed, what in oversea they called "designer dog". The mixed breeds, some were so ugly, just wonder why people mixed the breed for. The dogs ended up having furs that is all wrong and hard to keep. At the park there is a lake, some big dogs ended up having a swim there.
