MATTA Fair and KL International Tattoo 7/9 to 9/9

Since knowing Ann, i seemed to go to so many places that i never being before. Yesterday, i went with Ann to MATTA Fair which was held at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) from 7th to 9th September, 2007. Ann and myself was there at 9.45am...hoping to be able to catch media...hahahah and also to avoid the jam. It was really one experience for me as i seldom go to this type of places...one thing is no one accompany me, another thing is i am road blind...can never find the way to go to places that i never being before. It was here and from her, i learned how i don't have to buy any tickets to go in or how to get into the fair without much hassle. As usual i was Ann's camera woman there....taking pictures here and there. While i was there, i also checked on the Egypt tour as Khoo, her friends and myself are planning to go there for holidays in October. Wow....also while there, i learned that you can pay installment for trips to Bali or Pangkor.....it is only M$3 per day...and for 12 months.

MATTA - MITM Fair 2007 is organised by the Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA) & Malaysian International Travel mart (MITM) with major wholesalers/retailers, airlines, hotels and NTO’s in Kuala Lumpur. This is a well known premier travel fair in Malaysia.

The aim of the event is to provide consumers with a host of exciting and value for money travel options, excellent business and travel opportunities as well as exposure to worldwide travel. This event is also envisaged to highlight the vital role and convergence of information, communication ad e-commerce technology in the travel industry.

We were at MATTA fair until 1pm, then left to Subang to pick up Ann's banner for her car. After that we rushed down to KL, Merdeka Stadium again for the KL International Tattoo show. All the time i thought the tattoo is the tatoo - a bodyart and body piercing....so was surprised when reaching there and was told by ann it was army affairs. Ann really laughed at me at that night. We went to watch the event on 7/9 and 9/9 (closing day).

It is presented by The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF), in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, in conjunction with our 50th Independence Anniversary. There are altogether 12 countries who joined the event.

There are also zapin and joget. In terms of musical instruments, there are violins and an acoustic guitar. It’s a truly eclectic mix with an across-the-board appeal, especially when you have members of the Royal Thai Army Band swaying their hips ever so gracefully while the band played. This really awake me...as i was dozing off already...hahaha

Ann, my friend, living with Ika, Serena C And Pietro

Ann is one of the 300 participants being chosen to live with life size cardboard organised by Mix FM and sponsored by RHB Bank. She called me on Saturday and told me she is one of the participants. We were so happy for her and wish that she will be able to win M$50,000. This is not an easy job, she needs to bring the cardboard with her for three weeks starting from 27/8 and get as much publicity as possible. She was so excited, telling me what she planned to do with the money if she ever wins. I really admire her, she really got all the energy and ambitious. I dont think i can be like her....dont sleep, whole night thinking of what strategy for this project...morning go after roadrunner or to whatever spots with that big size cardboard. Also i am not so daring as her to bring that cardboard and approach any strangers. I am glad i have her as friend as she really gives me so much supports since i retired.

So on that day, right after she got the cardboard, she right away took them to her friend's wedding. Malay friend weddings. I was supposed to be at the one utama with her on the day she picked up the cardboard, but as i last minutes got something to do, so cant make it.

On the 2nd day (Sunday) around 4pm, she dropped by and asked if i am interested to go out with her and the cardboard. She planned to go to SS2 Pasar Malam. So off we went and we tried to get as much attention as possible but seemed that not many people know of this event and people tends to shy away when we approached them to take photos with ann and the cardboard. We did managed to get some photos

after the pasar malam, i was not able to join her as i was busy. Got a few grooming business to do at home. Also because of the new puppies at home, so more housework to do too. So ann went about herself and i must say she is doing good and she is a very independent girl.

After one week of not seeing her, on saturday she called me. And we went to SEA Pet supplier to get some dog food stuff and also to pass the broucher to the shop for her to help me to sell my puppies. For all you know, as soon as we reached my house after the visit, someone called and came to have a look at the puppies and placed a deposit for one of misty's puppies. Ann is the one who designed this broucher for me, isnt nice? Thanks very much ann.

On 31st August, ann called me and asked me if i am interested to go to shah alam for countdown. In a way it is also to bring the cardboard there and tried her best to get as much publicity as she can. We managed to get ourself filmed by cameraman who said it is life on RTM1, but no way can we know if our face is shown or not....hahaha. But we are happy that ann managed to get a picture with Datin Seri Zaharah bt Kechik. That night, i was the camera woman again.

On 1st Sept. ann got free tickets to go and watch the International Firework Competition at Putrajaya, so me, ann and Julie went. We were quite early, so we went to the funfair and took some pictures too. Everyone was looking at us wondering what we are doing with that big cardboard...hahaha But we did have a nice time there, the fire works, the fashion show.. Thanks very much to ann for taking me along.
