House under Renovation

Now with a bit of money, i decided to extend my backyard....thats mean the kitchen and upstair extend out. The reason i decided to do is because the backyard always got cats there and they gave birth behind making my dogs all barking wanting to go there, especially Suki. The work will take at least two month to finish. So i can imagine how dusty my house will be.

Before renovation (my backyard)

the front where the balcony is (Planned to extend the room so no more balcony)

After two weeks, finally something is up. This is only the back yard.

the third week

With rains in August, the job was delayed. Also because i was in Cambodia, so they also stopped work for a week too. Now already two months and this is all that they did.

my children's rooms finally up and ready.

Cambodia Trip 15/9/08 - 22/9/08

The year trip here again. Early this year, Air Asia got free tickets to Cambodia, so my friends decided to book tickets to Cambodia. We booked the air tickets on line, althought it was free, but we need to pay airport tax , fuel charges etc etc. which came to M$298 each person. We also looked for agent in Cambodia to take us round. My friend finally found a travel agent in Cambodia and cost US$440 per person, the place we visited are Siem Reap (4 days )and Phnom Penh (3.5 days), which was inclusive of all meals and hotels.

Waiting at airport from 5am
On the 15th at 4.30am, my friends came to pick me to go to airport. As i am still having workers renovating my house, so i really got no time to look for my clothings until the night we were flying off. All things are piling among each other in my room, so i only managed to find two pants, a red blouse which belongs to me. So in order not to search, i took some tshirts that belongs to my son, and i ended up wearing tshirts that are too bulky for me...hahaha.

Our flight on 15th is at 7.30am....and we reach Siem Reap at 9.30am. The tour guide over there was waiting for us at the airport and we (six of us) got into a van which took us to the hotel....Angkor Holiday Hotel. This is very nice hotel and they really have nice breakfast....the room is clean too as compared to the hotel we went to in Phnom Penh. That day the lunch was fantastic and nice meal too. I was told the food in cambodia was terrible, but we all found it nice to eat.

that afternoon we went to Angkok wat...on the way we stopped at Temple and Southgate of Angkor Thom.

2nd,3rd and 4th day we visited Ta Prohm,Bayon, Baphoun, Bayon, Elephant Terrace,Royal Enclosure, and many others.

We also visited temple where there is festival going on. This is festival where they pay respect to the spirits....which i think is the same as ours, while ours we display the food on the street.
