10 days tour Egypt

The once a year trip with my ex colleagues was on again. This year we finally decided to go to Egypt, althought i would be more please if can go to european countries. The trip is on 11th and back on 19th.

On the 11th, our flight was supposed to be at 3am but changed to 5am , as we already arranged a van to take us to the airport, so no choice, have to leave for airport at 1am. So we were all dozing off at the airport. Its only around 3pm only we saw group of people coming and were introduced to our tour guide Mr. Eugine. The delay of flight here also delayed our connection flight to Cairo. So we were stuck at Kuwait for another three hours. By the time we reached Cairo, it is already 8pm, 12th.. While at Cairo, we saw it was so crowded with people rushing home for Ramandan, waiting to collect the luaggages that they even jumped up on the conveyor trying to search for their luaggages. We had our dinner that night and i must say the food is not really up to my taste. While there, i must say we really missed our Malaysian Food especially Nasi Lemak, Bak Kut Teh.

The next day, wake up call at 6am, had our breakfast at hotel which is more on western food, then we assembled at 7.30am to head for the historial places. We also packed up to leave for Luxor by the night train at 8.30pm. This morning we proceeded for a breathtaking experience, as we marvel at one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus of Giza and the Spinx - the large man and lion statue, which cast its enignatic gaze across the sands of the desert. On the way there, i noticed one thing, and that is there is no traffic lights. People can just cross the road when and where they like and it remind me of our old system in malaysia.

After the pyramids, we went to visit Valley Temple, Papyrus Factory, Crystal Factory & the Egyptian Museum with its Ancient history of 50 centuries before we catch the night train to go to Luxor. That night, we had double decker for every two of us. We reached Luxor at 7.30am. From there we proceded to East Bank - the Temples of Luxor and Karnak. Had our lunch and we proceed to our Cruise. That night, we went to the market

While on the cruise, we even woke up early the morning at 4.30am for two days, hoping to see sunrise. The first day was not successful but the 2nd day we managed to watch at 6.30am.

The next day after the east bank, we went to west bank. We visited The Valley Of The Kings (Tombs of the Pharaohs). The place is very big so we need to take a tram to the tombs. We visited tombs of Ramesses I, Ramesses III and Ramesses IV.

On 15/10, we left for Edfu and Kom Ombo.

Temple of Horus

on 16/10, we left for Aswan, we arrived Abu Simbel early the morning. We visited The Great Temple which is dedicated to Ramesses II and a statue of him is seated with three other gods within the innermost part of the rock-cut temple (the sanctuary). The temple's facade is dominated by four enormous seated statues of the Pharaoh (each over 20 metres or 67 feet high). Today it is preserved by UNESCO heritage society.

At Aswan, we stopped by at the High Dam
