The first time when I saw a Ruby Cavalier King Charles is in year 2003, I think. That was at a dog function. This Ruby Cavalier King Charles is the father of my Hemmy. He is Australian Champion and imported from there. He got such a good head and nice furs and it was his good expression that caught me to decide to get a puppy from the owner. Cavalier at that time was not a common breed, so it is quite expensive to have one but the desire of having one is so strong that i was willing to come out with the sum.

Cavaliers are supposed to be between 12 and 13 inches high at the withers to be the perfect height. They should weigh between 13-18 pounds at maturity, with slight variations acceptable. Cavaliers are loving and sweet with all ages, from infants to seniors, and make wonderful therapy dogs. They are a perfect breed for a family pet and love to sit on your lap. They will follow you everywhere. They are indoor dogs and not happy outside unless you are out with them. One thing here I must remind everyone who got the intention to buy one is that they shed furs…..your house will be full of its furs. Don’t think owner will tell you that if you buy.
The most important person owning CKCS is Queen Elizebeth of UK
What they said above is true….my Hemmy acted exactly like that. A pity is Hemmy don’t enjoy show life…..unlike my suki. Hemmy is now Mal. Champion and retired. Hemmy don’t have the head like his father, that is a real pity…..but whatever it is, he is still one of my children. I would want to become a breeder for Cavalier King Charles if I got enough money to import one that is of superior quality…like having lush fur, big head etc.

Hemmy, although you shed furs, making the house full of fur balls, you are still one of my favourite babies.
